Short Block Assembly
A short block is the core foundation of your engine. It includes the block, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and rings — all precision-machined, balanced, and assembled to exact specifications. Long Block Assembly
A long block takes your short block to the next stage by including the complete top end. Along with the block, crankshaft, rods, pistons, and rings, you’ll get fully prepared cylinder heads, camshaft, timing components, and valvetrain — all installed, torqued, and ready for your intake, carburetor, or fuel system. This option delivers a complete, ready-to-install engine foundation, reducing your build time and ensuring every component works in harmony.

We took the block and head to Joe and he did an great job boring it out and putting a new rolling assembly together even though it was out of his normal big racing engine turf.
